Elographics Touchscreen Driver
The Elographics touchscreen driver has been included with
AmigaVision to allow you to use any Amiga-compatible monitor
with the Elographics touchscreen.
For additional information on Elographics touchscreens contact
Elographics at:
105 Randolph Road
Oak Ridge, TN 37830

There are four programs on this disk that are used with the
touchscreen: TouchOn, TouchOff, Calibrate and CalibValues.
After connecting your Elographics touchscreen and turning on
your Amiga, the first program you will need to run is Calibrate.
Calibrate aligns the touchscreen with the location of your
Workbench screen. If you adjust the position of the Workbench
screen, you should re-calibrate the touchscreen. Use Calibrate
by following the directions that appear in the center of the
screen and touch the screen in the upper left and lower right.
Save the calibration by choosing Save from the Options pull-down
menu at the upper left of the screen.
To enable the touchscreen, double-click on the TouchOn icon.
To disable, or turn off, the touchscreen, double-click on the
TouchOff icon. Running Calibrate will also turn off the
touchscreen driver.
You can simulate a press on the right mouse button by
simultaneously pressing the CTRL key and the touchscreen. As
long as you press the CTRL key all touchscreen commands will be
treated as right-mouse-button input and either display the
pull-down menus or any feature a program may have incorporated.
CalibValues is a file containing the calibration values. You
will not get a response if you click on this icon. The icon is
used to make it easier to install all the needed files on a hard
disk.
Adjustments to the Baud rate, Timeout and Port are done by
clicking once on the TouchOn icon and choosing Info from the
Workbench menu, or, if using Workbench 2.0, choosing Information
from the Icons menu. In the Tool Types box remove the semi-colon
and change the baud rate to the rate for which your touchscreen
is set. Click on save and the new baud rate is set. Timeout and
Port are reset in a similar manner.
INSTALLING THE DRIVER ON A HARD DISK
Installing the Elographics touchscreen driver on your hard disk
is simply a matter of dragging the four (4) icons from Tutorial
Disk 2 to the hard disk drawer. This can be done either one at a
time by clicking on the icon and dragging the icon to its new
location, or by shift-clicking on the icons. Or if you want,
just drag the whole drawer over to the hard disk.
If you want the touchscreen driver to run when you turn your
Amiga on, you will need to add a line containing TouchOn and its
path to your Startup-sequence.
